So let me me brief with this: I live in the Kansas City area. KC is the second largest rail hub on the North American continent in total rail traffic, but is by-and-large the busiest in terms of total tonnage moved annually.
Whatever, semantics. Bottom line: it's busy here. Any given day of any week out of the year features dozens of places across the metropolitan area that showcase railroad action from several Class 1 railroads that stretch to both coasts of the US (BNSF, UP, KCS, CSX, NS, DM&E, etc.). Several of you can attest to this (acela, The-Stealth-Ninja, Railphotos, HerrDrayer, xk1llxy0urselfx).
Knowing this, I'd kind of like to get a group of us together sometime this summer and have an informal "KC FoamFest" or something like that. Two, maybe three days of a handful of us out shooting the action around town, maybe have a barbecue at the end, drink some beers, and shoot the shit.
Also, on a side note: I've put together a map on Google of all the locations I've shot at, and plan to shoot at in the future. You can see that Here.

A parting note!
This is my last blog here as a TRFN admin, if I return in the future is unknown. DeviantART and me have been steadily splitting over the past years. It will not be a complete severance from this group or dA though as I will still post deviations to this group and my page.

We got a tie!
For the first time ever in the history of a dA contest we have a tie. Yes a dead tie, both pieces received exactly 5 votes. So now there will be a sudden death round where I announce the results next week. Votes from last time rollover for the two pieces left standing, so if you already voted for one of the two your vote is already counted. March 7th is now the deadline to make one of these two the Larry Campbell memorial wall champion.
